he PDA Foundation's goal is to promote the good of the public by assessing the needs for funds to be used for the advancement of parenteral sciences, pharmacy and pharmaceutical education. At present there is a significant shortage of skilled medical and pharmaceutical scientists that could seriously hamper the research, development and manufacture of new pharmaceutical products needed to improve health care.
Since its inception in 1979, the Foundation which is a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit corporation, has awarded almost $2 million to 84 graduate students at 30 of the nations leading colleges, universities and medical centers to help alleviate this problem.
