This is why the VirTis AdVantage single shelf freeze dryer is so popular for small scale freeze drying applications and product development work.
Available in the UK and Ireland through freeze drying specialists Biopharma Process Systems, the AdVantage freeze dryer measures just 56cm x 53cm x 66cm and weighs 118 kg.
However, despite its compact size the AdVantage provides complete flexibility to process bulks, vials or flasks.
Shelf temperatures ranges are available from -70C to +60C, with process condenser temperatures as low as -85C, while state-of-the-art control systems ensure precise freeze drying control, particularly important for handling extremely valuable or sensitive biological materials.
Other features include four patented quick-seal valves allowing users to process flasks at the same time as product on the shelf and a full-view crystal-clear acrylic door with double-action catch to ensure positive sealing.
Pneumatic stoppering can also be specified and a patented windmill device is available that indicates the end of primary drying.
An easy-to-use, panel mounted "Wizard" control system which enables storage of up to 20 recipes, each with multi-step precise control of freezing and drying parameters, is offered as an option.
The Wizard system can be further enhanced with a Wizard PC workstation, which enables comprehensive data entry, storage and analysis of results.
The AdVantage is one of the range of competitively priced freeze dryers and ancillary equipment available from Biopharma.
