Oregon Freeze Dry is a pioneer and the world leader in the research and application of low-temperature, low-pressure preservation of materials. Since 1963, we have developed innovative solutions to meet the specific product requirements and applications of our customers.
Speed-to-Market with Oregon Freeze Dry, Inc
Speed-to-Market, a term often used and rarely realized. Why? The total cost to execute from concept to commercialized prototypes is often underestimated when you undertake all tasks in-house.
If your product needs preservation of form or functionality, OFD's Advanced & Specialty Products Contract Services have experience in successfully applying low temperature, low pressure drying for many classes of products. You may take advantage of our experience in applying lyophilization technology and packaging expertise to a wide variety of industrial categories including food, specialty chemicals, biotechnology, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals.
Our process development team has demonstrated the ability to convert solutions, emulsions, or suspensions to nano particles, wound dressings, quick-dissolving tablets, and slow-dissolving oral patches. Our broad industrial experience brings a unique perspective to collaborative problem solving and commercialization. Combined with North America's largest bulk lyophilization capacity for both food grade (HACCP) and cGMP materials, OFD becomes an immediate extension of your R&D and Production Team.
We offer confidential Contract Research & Development services that focus on your finished product attributes and the identification of the critical control parameters specific to your raw material(s). The basic steps we follow when evaluating your material(s) are as follows:
1. Define critical control points for a specific material.
2. Provide concept prototypes for physical evaluation and commercial scale cost estimate.
3. Define Scale-up and validation protocols and samples.
4. Produce clinical or focus group quantities.
5. Produce commercial quantities to confirm market size and economics.
6. Execute commercial scale-up at OFD or at your site with technology transfer.
Today, more than ever, it is important to efficiently use available capital. What could you save if together we rapidly took your product from raw material through scale-up in 1 - 3 months, with many products able to be finished within weeks?
