Range of condenser temperature options provides all the drying power required to freeze dry aqueous and most organic-based samples, and compact dimensions fit onto any bench or small laboratory cart
VirTis K series benchtop freeze dryers have been developed in response to industry demand for research freeze dryers that would encompass a wide range of laboratory processing requirements while offering increased control over the drying process in a flexible yet economic package, says Biopharma Process Systems.
The K series freeze dryers are designed with a small footprint to fit onto any laboratory bench or small laboratory cart for increased mobility.
A wide range of condenser temperature options, from -55C to -105C, provides all the drying power required to freeze dry aqueous and most organic-based samples, while ice capacities from 3 to 9 litres allows processing of a wide sample volume.
The smooth walled condensers are manufactured from durable stainless steel and provide unrestricted access for cleaning.
A unique and patented two position shelf system allows both freezing and drying in the condenser chamber, while fast turnaround and mess-free defrosting is accomplished by the integrated, automatic, hot gas defrost system.
Successful freeze drying is a balance between temperature and vacuum, says Biopharma, and precise vacuum control is standard across the K series range enabling optimised freeze drying and reproducible results.
An extensive range of accessories allows for any shape or size sample to be freeze dried whether the product is contained in vials, ampoules, trays or flasks.
Customised manifolds are available.
A simple one-button auto start-up activates all operating parameters in a correct and safe sequence.
Two different microprocessor monitoring systems are available for data acquisition and increased shelf Temperature Control during the freeze drying process.
Optional powerful PC workstation software allows complete data collection and historical trending of freeze drying cycles.
VirTis K series benchtop freeze dryers are now available in the UK and Ireland through Biopharma Process Systems.
