Abstract: The development of implantable sensors to monitor the changing concentration of chemically diverse drugs, metabolites, and biomarkers by using nanotechnology is discussed. Glucose oxidase-based glucose sensors that generate hydrogen peroxide can detect different binding proteins amperometrically. Magnetic relaxation nanoswitches, which is an implantable sensor, could be employed for the continuous monitoring of analytes. The feasibility study of magnetic nanoswitch system with chemically distinct analytes is conducted by examining with glucose (Glu), folic acid (FA), and the influenza hemagglutinin peptide (HA). Light-scattering measurements were obtained to further investigate the interconversion between the initial dispersed nanoparticle state and microaggregated state. The increase and decrease in glucose concentration results in the alteration of the nanoswitch microaggregation state. The experiment establishes the principle of an analyte-mediated equilibrium of nanoswitches.
