Biopharma is pleased to announce that the renowned freeze-dryer manufacturer Usifroid has acquired UFFO-EAM, its long-term partner for freeze dryer loading and unloading systems and tray loaders, making it become a fully-owned division of Usifroid known as EAM.
For the pharmaceutical industry, EAM has been a Usifroid partner since 1992 and has co-engineered and manufactured automated loading and unloading systems, transfer carts and tray loaders associated with turnkey freeze-drying projects.
EAM can meet your handling system requirements whether manual, semi-automated or fully automatic operation is required.
Usifroid and EAM jointly developed the successful patented vibrating table technology, a unique system used to assemble vials in a rectangular pack and also disassemble vial packs and feed them to a conveyor belt.
The vibrating table offers several key advantages over conventional load and unload accumulation systems, in terms of speed, GMP compliance, reliability, ease of operation and cleanability.
Beno?t d'Armancourt, Managing Director of Usifroid, highlights the strategic fit of this acquisition: 'Acquiring EAM is an exceptional opportunity for us, given the strong competence of its team and the know-how we have developed mutually over the past 12 years.
It is an essential step to boost our growth in the freeze-drying loading applications, a segment of the market that is currently expanding very quickly.
This acquisition enables us to answer the needs of our customers regarding integrated systems and strengthens our competitiveness'.
