The Alabama Tissue Center
The Alabama Tissue Center (ATC), an out growth of the Alabama Organ Center, began in the mid-1980s as a response to the growing demand for more tissue to be readily available for transplants. The ATC was created to preserve, process and distribute tissues as well as aortic valves.
The ATC is an accredited member of the American Association of Tissue Banks and the Southeastern Organ Donor Procurement Foundation.
