Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) in Organic Process R & D
June 28-29, 2005
Boston Marriott Cambridge Hotel, CAMBRIDGE, USA
Massachusetts
This will be Scientific Update's first Process Analytical Technology (PAT) conference, which will be dedicated to process chemistry and organic synthesis, contrasting previous PAT events which have been predominantly formulation focussed. With an emphasis on the science and technology associated with the synthesis and manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) the aim is to showcase the use of PAT as a tool for increasing process understanding, robustness, reproducibility and efficiency, both in development and commercial production. In addition to highlighting technical progress, issues and challenges in both lab and plant, we will also feature regulatory, QA, GMP and validation challenges associated with the adoption of PAT for API across the industry, following the FDA?s guidance note.
The meeting is aimed at organic chemists, engineers, QA and regulatory people working in or with chemical process R&D and related areas. We are inviting experts from all over the world to discuss their latest progress, with case studies and examples of some of the pitfalls and how they can be overcome.
