About Metrics
Our History
Metrics, Inc. was founded by Phil Hodges and John Bray, Ph.D., in 1994 in Greenville, NC. The goal? To build a different kind of contract laboratory. A place dedicated to doing the job right. A company dedicated to scientific excellence. And most of all a group of people committed to building long-term relationships with the clients who trust us with their work.
With four employees, the company focused on contract analytical development work.
Today, with more than 160 employees, our services and capabilities have grown exponentially. Now offering a broad range of pharmaceutical development services, we now perform our work in a state-of-the-art 44,000 square foot facility. And plans for continued expansion are on the drawing board.
Our Experience
Metrics strength resides in a staff of veteran scientists and management team who individually represent an average of 16 years? career experience. Our laboratories are run with the advanced scientific expertise of our many PhDs, Master and Registered Pharmacists, and Chemists. With an extremely low personnel turnover, you can expect reliability and consistency in your working relationship with us.

At Metrics, customer service is part of every job description. Your point of contact will be an industry veteran from whom you?ll receive one-on-one consultation and reports. We don?t believe in hindering your access to the person in charge of your project. This is a main point of differentiation at Metrics.
