The following vaccination schedule is given here as a guideline. However, the
actual vaccination schedule may be decided by competent veterinarian based on
prevailing IBD incidence on the farm and maternal antibody status of the flock:

N.B.: For layer / broiler breeder birds after following above schedule, Ventri's IBD
(inactivated) vaccine is given by subcutaneous route in the neck of breeder birds
at pre-lay (17th to 22nd week) and at mid-lay (35th to 40th week).
SHELF LIFE
Vaccine when stored at recommended conditions has shelf life of 12 months,
which is indicated as an expiry date on the label.
STORAGE AND SHIPPING
Vaccine should be stored at +2?C to +8?C, preferably in deep freeze and
transported through cold chain system. The vaccine should be protected from light.
Diluent is stored and transported at room temperature.
PRESENTATION
Vials of 3 ml, 10 ml and 20 ml capacity, each containing lyophilized Infectious
Bursal Disease (I) vaccine sufficient for 100 / 200 / 500 / 1000 / 2000 / 5000 doses
as specified on the vial label and carton. Sterile diluent bottles sufficient for 100 /
200 / 500 / 1000 / 2000 / 5000 doses are supplied along with vaccine separately.
WARNINGS
? Consult Veterinarian / Poultry expert regarding vaccination schedule and use
of vaccine.
? This product should be stored, transported, and administered in accordance
with the instructions and directions of the manufacturer.
? This vaccine is not recommended for those birds, which are clinically sick or
severely debilitated, or under conditions of severe stress and strain.
? Use the sterile diluent supplied with the vaccine only. This has been tested for
its stability in the laboratory for virus for which it is prepared. We do not accept
responsibility for the use of any other manufacturer's vaccine diluent.
? Examine diluent bottle before mixing for any abnormal change such as colour,
turbidity, or foreign body. If so, do not use this bottle of diluent.
? Do not use unsterile vaccination equipment. Chemical disinfectant should not
be used for sterilization of equipment.
? Do not mix the diluent and the vaccine until all the other preparations are
ready.
? Keep reconstituted vaccine in ice bath during the entire vaccination period.
? Always vaccinate the healthy birds and keep the vaccinated birds comfortable
by providing adequate temperature, feed, water, and good ventilation.
? For drinking water method, remove any disinfectant or water sanitizer from
drinking water for 24 hours prior to and after vaccination.
? Burn and destroy the used containers along with the leftover vaccine.
