CSPS 8th Annual Symposium - May 30 - June 2, 2005 - Ontario, Canada
In view of ever increasing health care costs and the benefits new medicines bring to patients, the 2005 CSPS annual scientific meeting will focus on some of the innovative, new technologies that enable both discovery and development scientists to streamline the drug development process and make it more efficient. Some of the scientific sessions will explore the tools discovery scientists use to find the best candidate for development. As a counterpoint, other sessions will deal with approaches in drug delivery, dosage form design and process scale up to enhance the development process, including newly emerging analytical techniques and current drug regulatory issues. Following the annual scientific meeting there will be a teaching workshop on dissolution testing, a critical element in the development of many dosage forms.
