1st BBBB Conference on Pharmaceutical Sciences
Sept 26-28, 2005
Lake Balaton, Hungary
In an agreement with the national Pharmaceutical Societies of Hungary, Finland, Estonia, Slovenia and Turkey, the members of the EUFEPS Committee have decided to organize a new series of regional conferences called: ?The Balaton-Baltic-Bled-Bosporus Conference on Pharmaceutical Sciences?
The aim of this scientific forum is to invite the members of these Societies and colleagues from other countries to gather biennially on the shore of a lake or on the sea coast to build up closer collaboration between pharmacists and other members of the scientific community dealing with drug research and development in this region of Europe.
This new series could create a strong and stable background for permanent dialogue between pharmacists and other scientists in these and the neighbouring countries, over and above the traditional European connections in the fields of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Research & Development. Colleagues from other countries are also kindly invited to participate in these conferences, to strengthen the European spirit and scientific life.
These occasions can create an additional possibility for Society members to discuss their results, the new developments and the future directions of the pharmaceutical sciences in a broad sense. The three-day conferences will offer a good opportunity for the development and deepening of scientific cooperation between the members of these Societies, and between the Societies themselves, and could promote scientific exchanges for talented young pharmacists in Pharmaceutical Departments of different Universities and academic workplaces throughout these countries.
Other goals of this regional series include the initiation of common research projects between the participants of the congress, and fostering of the applications of the fruits of new approaches (genomics, nanosciences, biotechnology for health etc.) for the accelerated introduction of new, safe and more effective medicines.
